Those of unsound mind are prohibited from marrying. Tennessee law prohibits a man marrying his daughter, mother, sister, half-sister, stepdaughter, stepmother, granddaughter, grandmother, son's wife, grandson's wife, wife's granddaughter, niece, half-niece, grandniece, half-grandniece, and great-grandniece. First, cousins may marry with a waiver by a judge; first cousins once removed and second cousins may marry.
